Excerpt #1: We learn more about Rudy, the man who sells building materials to the second little pig...
Mother: Rudy, I’ve found you a job selling sticks. Go into the forest and meet your new boss. He’ll give you a bag of sticks to sell to people on the road.
Rudy: But Ma, I don’t like sticks. They’re dirty and sharp and, gee, I mean, I don’t even like to be outdoors. You know me, Ma, I’d rather be in the kitchen.
Mother: The kitchen? What on earth would you do in the kitchen?
2. Decorate Cakes Rudy: I want to decorate cakes, Ma Cake decorating’s my dream I want to be an artiste, Ma With the fondant, meringue and the butter cream
Excerpt #2: Rudy and his brothers begin to suspect that there's more to the story of these pigs who are buying up all the building materials.
Rudy: That’s a huge coinkydink!
Reginald: Coinkydink?
Ray: Why do you keep using that silly word?
Rudy: (ignoring) That means all three of us have met pigs today, and they were all buying materials to build a house. They bought straw from you, right Reg?
Reginald: Yup.
Rudy: And sticks from me, and what did you sell them, Ray?
Ray: Bricks, but only to one pig. Do you think it’s the same pig buying three different building materials, or three different pigs?
Reginald: Gee, I don’t know. I didn’t even know pigs lived in houses. I thought they lived in a sty on a farm.
Rudy: I think it’s a conspiracy. I think we should go spy on them and see what they’re up to.
